Health Psychology investigates the relationship between the biological, psychosocial, cultural and social-environmental factors that influence health. In studying this unit, you will critically explore different theoretical perspectives and approaches of health with particular emphasis on the causes and behavioural processes that influence or prevent deterioration and the development of an illness.

The unit includes an exploration of the process of psychological evaluation relating to specific conditions with emphasis on influencing attitudes and awareness towards better health outcomes and the promotion of behavioural change.
